Child Safety Standards

Published standards: child sexual abuse & exploitation (CSAE)  ·  Last updated: May 2, 2026

Datea is for adults only. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse material (CSAM), the sexual exploitation of minors, and predatory behavior. This page summarizes how we approach child safety for regulators, app stores, and our community. It is published at a stable public URL for transparency, including for Google Play’s “Safety standards URL” requirement.

1. Age requirement

Datea is intended exclusively for people aged 18 and older. Accounts must represent adults. We prohibit use of the service by minors and take reports of underage users seriously. Where our product allows, we use age-related signals, account verification, and community reports to help enforce this rule.

2. Zero tolerance for CSAE and CSAM

We do not allow content or conduct that sexually exploits or endangers children, including but not limited to:

Violations result in immediate account termination, preservation of relevant records where required by law, and referral to law enforcement and/or the appropriate national center for missing & exploited children (for example, NCMEC in the United States) when we become aware of CSAM or credible threats to child safety, consistent with applicable law.

3. User-generated content and surfaces we protect

Datea includes profiles, date-idea posts, text and voice pitches, direct messages, photos, stories, and other social features. All of these surfaces are subject to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and this child safety policy.

4. Moderation and detection

We use a combination of measures designed to reduce harm, including:

No system is perfect; we continuously improve our policies, tooling, and training in line with industry practice and legal obligations.

5. Reporting in Datea

If you see behavior or content that puts someone at risk, violates our rules, or suggests a minor is using the app, please report it immediately using the in-app reporting tools (available from profiles, posts, and chat where applicable). Include as much detail as you safely can so our team can investigate.

You may also email safety@getdatea.app with the subject line “Child safety report”. Do not attach or forward CSAM; if you encounter CSAM, report through the in-app flow or to your local authorities or national reporting body as appropriate.

6. Law enforcement

We cooperate with law enforcement and regulatory requests when legally required and consistent with applicable privacy law. Law enforcement may contact us at safety@getdatea.app or legal@getdatea.app; we will respond according to our legal process guidelines and the urgency of child safety matters.

7. Changes

We may update this page to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or improved safety practices. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we publish a revision. Continued use of Datea after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised standards in conjunction with our Terms of Service.
